Here's why women should vote Tyler Brasher for TN House District 60
🗓️ Early Voting July 12 - 27 ⭐️ Election Day August 1
Women in Tennessee live in a constant state of stress. The General Assembly continues to attack us and our children with their legislation. They stripped us of our reproductive rights, failed to enact common sense gun laws, and attempted to defund our already underfunded schools with vouchers.
I'm Kelsey Brasher. I'm a mom, small business owner, and resident of Hermitage. My husband, Tyler Brasher, is running for Tennessee House District 60 because we want our kids to grow up in a Tennessee that fights for families instead of attacking them.
🚺Reproductive Rights:
In 2021, I miscarried my first pregnancy. I, like many women, was prescribed mifepristone (the abortion pill). I was thankful to quickly receive the healthcare I needed in a very traumatic situation. In 2022, Tyler and I welcomed our daughter Millie. We are now expecting our second child in mid-September.
For the last eight months, our family has worried about the baby's and my health (if something were to happen). People say Tennessee has exceptions—we do—but exceptions don't work. No woman in Tennessee has qualified for the life of the mother exception under these new restrictions.
Tyler and I don't want anyone to live in a state where women can't receive the healthcare they need or choose.
Tyler will fight for…
Abortion Access
IVF Protections
Contraception Protections
🦺Gun Safety:
Guns are the leading cause of death for children in Tennessee. Each day we drop our daughter Millie off at daycare, I worry about what might happen.
I think about Covenant. I think about Lily Basil. I think about the Nashville preschool teacher who threatened to pull a gun on another teacher. It seems like almost every week, there is a school shooting or threat of a school shooting. Parents and kids shouldn't have to live in fear.

Red Flag Laws
Safe Storage

✏️Education:
Our daughters will attend Metro Nashville Public School because Tyler and I believe in public schools. We are both students of Tennessee's public school system and come from families with educators.
Students: We both attended public school from K-12 and attended state colleges. He graduated from UT Martin, and I'm an alum from MTSU.
Families with Educators: Tyler's mother, Patricia, taught in Tennessee's public schools for 40 years. His older brother, Patrick, followed in her footsteps and has taught in Decatur County for almost 14 years. My younger brother, Chandler, just completed his first year as a marketing teacher and high school football coach.
Tyler will fight for…
Teacher Pay Raises
More Student Funding
Public Tax Dollars to Stay in Public Schools (NO VOUCHERS)
💵Cost of Living:
Like many Tennessee families, we are a dual-income household. Tyler works for a healthcare company, and I am a freelance graphic designer.
When we had Millie, I left full-time work because we couldn't afford childcare every day. Millie goes to daycare three days a week right now, and I will keep our other daughter (due in September) with me at home.
As a small business owner, my income is inconsistent and unpredictable, making it more difficult to plan financially.
Tyler will fight for…
Affordable Childcare
Repealing the Grocery Tax
If you are a woman or a mom in District 60, vote Tyler Brasher for Tennessee House District 60. My family and your family deserve better. We deserve a Tennessee that fights for families.
